Uru Eke is originally from Mbaise, a small village in Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, but was born in Newham, East London in the United Kingdom, where she completed her primary school education.
Uru Eke had her basic education at Galleywall Infants School in London, United Kingdom and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, Uru Eke relocated to Nigeria to complete her secondary school education. She attended Baptist Girls College in Lagos, Nigeria and obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.
